Makeup is just as important to your finished look as the clothes you wear, in fact, it may actually be more important. We've all discovered women who don't know how to apply eyeshadow. But we also see women who know how to apply it correctly and dress well and pretty. Don't you want to be one of these women? Of course - and we'll give you some tips on how you can achieve this. Good news - applying eyeshadow the right way isn't really that difficult. It's just a matter of finding the right technique and researching your personal style. 1. Always apply foundation over your eyes as you would the rest of your face. Liquid foundation works or you can apply foundation over the eye area. This gives a nice, even color palette to work with.

2. Mix, mix, then mix again. I cannot emphasize that enough. Try an experiment. Blend one eye, then just use the brush and apply the other eye. You'll instantly know what I'm talking about and you'll never  forget to shuffle again.

3. If you want dramatic eyes, take an eyeshadow brush, dip it in water, then dip in the dark and apply. This will give you a much deeper and more dramatic color.

4. If you have blue eyes, wear purple, violet, dark brown, gray, dark blue, and black. Vibrant colors include fuchsia, turquoise and silver.

5. If you have green eyes, wear purple, plum, green, brown, and khaki. Vibrant colors include light blue, yellow, and bright purple.

6. If you have brown eyes, wear champagne, bronze, brown, apricot, khaki and beige. Vibrant colors include royal green, mandarin, and hot pink on the hands. 

7. Anyone can wear navy, powder blue, and charcoal. Fun colors include silver.

8. Apply a lighter shade in the inner corner of your eye to reflect and rejuvenate your look. 

9. If you want your eyes to look bigger, use a lighter color in the inner corner and a darker color in the center of the eye.

10. Practice until applying your eyeshadow becomes a science. Once it's done, your makeup will look more natural and done. 

11. Apply the shadow only on the eyelid, from the lash line to the crease of the eyelid. Apply a medium shade just below the eyelid crease to the brow bone.

12. Apply highlighter along the brow bone. Doing this will make your features stand out naturally and beautifully.
