There are several ways to treat back acne. Bacne - short for back acne is the same as other common types of acne. It can appear as a pimple, blackhead, pustule, or in severe cases, it looks like an acne cyst. It usually appears during puberty when the sebaceous glands begin to become more active. Men, women, teens or adults, back acne has no specific age group or gender and can affect almost anyone. Here are some ways to treat acne.

1. Wear cool clothes, put some baby powder on your back to prevent sweat. This is an essential way to cure back acne. Change clothes if you sweat too much to prevent back acne.

2. After vigorous activity, you may sweat a lot. Take a shower immediately, or if that's not possible, wipe the sweat with a towel made of a soft cloth like cotton.

3. Dry the skin after bathing. Do not rub the towel. This can irritate the skin and cause inflammation on the back.

4. If the acne on the back is not severe, you can still use antibacterial facial cleansers specialized for facial skin. Today, there are soaps that treat acne not only for the face but also for the whole body. Avoid using regular soap. These soaps may not meet the requirements that your sensitive skin needs.

5. Avoid wearing a backpack until the acne on your back is gone. This will help keep your back from getting hot, leading to more sweating and a breeding ground for acne-causing bacteria on your back.

6. One of the best ways to properly treat back acne is to use a gel or cream that contains at least 10% benzoyl peroxide. They can be bought in pharmacies even without a prescription from a dermatologist (dermatologist).

7. Studies show that benzoyl peroxide works best when used with products that contain alpha hydroxy. It will heal and dry your back acne twice as fast.

8. Some people also have natural techniques for back acne. One home remedy to treat back acne is to use homemade sodium hydroxide (lye) soap while adding tea tree oil. It doesn't dry out or heal breakouts faster, but will definitely give you softer skin.

9. Exfoliate once a week. If you don't want to spend money on expensive body scrubs, you can use sugar to exfoliate. Do it on the affected area like the back and buttocks.

10. You can seek professional help for very serious back acne. There is nothing to be ashamed of them. Dermatologists are available to help people suffering from this type of skin problem. They will likely recommend prescription medications, oral antibiotics, topical treatments, retinol, or even birth control pills (women only).
